Social Worker
Steph
Tena koutou katoa
My name is Steph Pease. I have been a social worker for nearly 25 years. My
passion is working with people to make a difference. I have a philosophy of no 8 wire
– whatever it takes to get the job. I enjoy making connections with people and
community to help move forward. I also started life as a primary school teacher and
so work with people of all ages including kids.
My background is mainly working in the health setting but all of the Waikato motu.
These days I continue to work part time in the critical care team at Waikato hospital
and spend the rest of my working week in the ACC sensitive claim space supporting
people in their local communities.
I have lived experience of supporting a child whom is neurodivergent or neurospicy
as we call it in our household. I have a particular passion for this work – making
connections to break down barriers and make a difference.
I am married to a lovely man named Terry and between us we have 6 children – all
aged 21 to 30!
Outside of work I love mixed media arts, riding my motorbike and hanging out with
family.
I look forward to meeting you!
